Did Joy Behar Reject Whoopi Goldberg?

The View is currently on hiatus. But there’s still plenty of drama with the ladies on the show. Whoopi Goldberg feels slighted by Joy Behar whenever she makes an off-color remark about their friendship.

In a previous segment, Joy admitted being “happy” to be fired from The View. The producers gave her the pink slip in 2013, but let her return later. Joy wasn’t sad about her exit. She felt like it was freeing.

“I always have a best,” Joy said before adding, “I always have best friends where I work and if I don’t have friends at the job, I will not keep the job.”

Joy Behar explained her firing from the show. Her statement was met with laughter from the audience. Joy recalls people asking her if she was fine with her firing. She admitted she was “happy because all my friends had left me already.”

Whoopi Goldberg was concerned about Joy’s comment. She felt rejected by her dear friend at that moment. Joy carried on and said that “there was no reason to stay anymore.” Whoopi looks over at Joy and says, “Really?”

It was a tense moment between the two ladies on the show. Whoopi assumed that Joy was her friend. She felt rejected when Joy claimed that “all of her friends were gone.”

Whoopi Goldberg asked again, “Really… ‘All your friends?'” She wanted to remind Joy Behar about her time on The View. The two connected and struck up a friendship.

Whoopi pouts and pushes out her bottom lip. Joy responded, “You had just come on!” She backtracked and claimed that her “backstage friends” were gone from the show. Whoopi brushed it off and said, “It’s okay…no, I’m cool.”

Joy Behar then revealed she always has friends wherever she works. Meanwhile, the audience erupted in laughter. They enjoyed watching the commodity between them. The panelists finally moved on from the awkward segment.
