In 2021, Alec Baldwin shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. As his manslaughter charges from filming Rust play out, he could probably use someone like Kelly Ripa from Live with Kelly and Mark. After all, the ABC talk show host is loved by millions of people, and her opinion counts.

Kelly Ripa Has Pull In The Celebrity World

While the wife of Mark Consuelos is known for witty comebacks and sharp criticism of those who annoy her, she’s all about being famous. After all, you don’t stay with ABC for two decades and not have influence. Recently, she was nominated as a Disney Legend, and this weekend, she’ll be on the West Coast rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous. 

While Kelly Ripa celebrates being in the limelight, other people stand in support of Alec Baldwin. One of them, Eric Braeden from The Young and the Restless seemed particularly supportive. In his opinion, it seems ridiculous that anyone acting should be charged for the death from a set gun. However, not everyone is shouting him out. 

Can The Talk Show Host Stand For Alec?

Closer Weekly reported this week that a source mentioned the Live with Kelly and Mark host. Allegedly, the actor who likes Mark and his wife is hoping for her public support. Actually, a few words by her could reach the ears of hundreds of influencers.

The outlet reported that the source said:

The man just has no filter, and that’s why the friendship with Kelly Ripa is so crucial to him going forward. She is incredibly beloved by her audience and prides herself for being known for telling it like it is and not sugarcoating anything.

Of course, a lot of disapproval comes because he seemed like the sort of person who annoyed his fellow actors. But, he maintained a friendship with Kelly Ripa, which could be very useful to him.

The source added, “People believe her when she airs her opinions. Her advocacy can go a long way toward Alec repairing the damage the shooting and its aftermath did to his career.”

Furthermore, the ABC host will have him on her show if he needs that. However, given the cloud that hangs over Alec Baldwin, it might not be enough to sway many opinions. Still, it certainly wouldn’t hurt if she started advocating for him publically.

For now, his most stalwart supporter seems to be his wife, Hilaria. Apparently, she’s trying to push for their new TV show so at least the money keeps rolling in even if the approval doesn’t.
