Last year was mostly about the Smiths. Jada Pinkett Smith’s memoir ‘Worthy’ gave birth to a storm of controversies that just kept popping up here and there for most of 2023.
When Jada called Tupac her soulmate we were sure all hell was going to break lose and we silently waited for the drama to start. Instead we got Will Smith on the yacht video – that was hilarious, seriously – and Will Smith showing up to support her book release, despite her confessions that they haven’t been a couple for years.
With everything we learned last year about the Smiths, how are they navigating their relationship and moving forward in 2024? Will Smith has answers for us.
Will Smith Calls Jada Pinkett Smith – His Number One “Ride Or Die” in Latest Interview
Call it what you want, but Will Smith’s number one “ride or die” person in this world is his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who he married in 1997. Whilst it’s Will’s second marriage, the “Suicide Squad” star is infinitely happy loving and being loved by the mother of two of his three children – Jaden Smith and Willow Smith.
The Oscars slap may have definitely shown the rift within the Smith family, but for those in the know, the first hint of trouble in paradise was when Jada “cheated” on Will with her son’s friend.
Jada defended her actions by saying that she didn’t technically cheat on Will as she and the 55-year-old star weren’t together at the time.
In fact, according to her, they haven’t been together as husband and wife for seven years.
However fractured their relationship may seem to us outsiders, to Will, it’s still the most beautiful thing in the world.
The star talked to Entertainment Tonight following the screening of ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die.’ During the interview he opened up about having a few ‘ride or dies’ of his own in his personal life.
“It’s funny, I was just talking about this, I have always been blessed that there has never been a time in my life when I didn’t look to the side and have a ride-or-die right there,” he said, before adding that his wife Jada is one of his biggest ride or die.
“Jada is one of the most gangsta ride-or-die’s I’ve ever had,” he added. He further listed DJ Jazzy Jeff and his ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ co-star Alfonso Ribeiro as his other ride-or-dies.
