Zoë Kravitz “Can’t Imagine” Filming “Big Little Lies” Without Director Jean-Marc Vallée

Jean-Marc Vallée’s shocking death was met with tributes from many stars he’s worked with, and even from those he’s only met. The director sadly passed away in December 2021 from heart attack at the age of 58, while in the talks of bringing back “Big Little Lies” for another installment.

Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Matthew McConaughey, and Jared Leto were among the many that honored the director following his death.

As for Zoë, she couldn’t mourn her “visionary” enough.

Zoë Kravitz is shutting down any and every hope of a “Big Little Lies” third season. This is coming after Kravitz’s “Big Little Lies” costar hinted that there’s a chance the movie will return to run for another season.

“We talked about doing a season 3 a lot,” Kravitz said in a GQ video interview about the popular HBO series. “Unfortunately, Jean-Marc Vallée, our incredible director, passed away this last year. It’s heartbreaking.”

She continued, “I can’t imagine going on without him. He really was the visionary for that show. Unfortunately, it’s done.”

Last month, the actress told Entertainment Tonight that she and her fellow costars would love to return to the world of “Big Little Lies” if it was possible.

“I mean, we would all love nothing more, we’re like family, just very lucky,” she said about the show’s future. “I say, let’s hold out hope. Let’s keep asking, it might just come true.”

The series follows the deadly drama between a group of moms in Monterey, California. It stars several Hollywood A-listers including Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, and Nicole Kidman.

The show is based on a 2014 fictional work by bestselling author Liane Moriarty.
