The soap opera community was quick to show their support to actor Cameron Mathison following his kidney cancer diagnosis. The actor, who is known for his role as Ryan Lavery on “All My Children,” recently announced the upsetting news that he has renal cell carcinoma or kidney cancer.
Mathison revealed that despite the diagnosis, he still felt “extremely lucky” that his cancer was found early. Also, “it hasn’t spread to any other organs,” which made him and his family feel more optimistic.
In a lengthy Instagram post, he wished for “positive thoughts and prayers” as he undergoes removal surgery. It didn’t take long for the daytime community to give the support he needed.
