Amy is worried over the possibility of Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) losing her job and Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), and Summer (Harriet Bibby) losing their homes. It comes after Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) decide to sell the house to fund the costs needed to fight Aaron’s lawsuit.

Amy turns to Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) and confides in her that she’ll write a retraction so others will no longer be affected by her legal troubles, which have caused financial hardship for her family. She reaches out to Aaron and shows him her retraction. However, he claims that what she wrote didn’t make sense, which triggers Amy even more.

She tells Aaron that it’s hard to write something, especially when it’s all a pack of lies. So she tells him to write the retraction instead, and she’ll sign it once he’s done. Aaron agrees and gets to work. However, he struggles to write the retraction and starts to recall what really happened that night.

In a previous interview with the media, Craven emphasized the importance of consent. The actor noted that this topic is important, especially among young people. They need to know what’s right and wrong and to remind those who have been through something similar that they shouldn’t be made to feel that what happened to them is okay.

“So if anyone of any gender has experienced sexual abuse or something of this nature, it’s important to let them know that there is stuff that they can do about it, and it’s never acceptable for something like this to happen. I think that’s the main thing, and it’s so great to get people talking about it because the fact that they are shows how relevant it is and how important it is,” he said.

It was also revealed that Craven wants to focus on his future now. The actor struggled with the storyline. He also explained that his alter ego doesn’t believe he did anything wrong. He truly thinks that he’s innocent, that’s why he continues to defend himself.
