All film production stopped in the UK on March 23 due to coronavirus precautions but now comes word that shows like EastEnders and Coronation Street can begin filming once again.
Film and television filming will be allowed to resume in Britain but the crew and actors must keep two meters apart from each other.
Today a source told The Sun, “Filming will have to resume at some point and bosses say June is the benchmark. With strict social distancing and extra precautions on set they think EastEnders could make the transition.”
The source added that the soap’s executives have said that if filming can, “resume safely,” then it will “go ahead.”
“But they appreciate the health and safety of the cast and crew is paramount and should the lockdown restrictions be tightened, filming will, of course, not take place.”
ITV has said that Coronation Street has enough episodes to last until early summer.

It has also been said that older soap actors could be banned from filming with storylines focusing on younger cast members, no doubt due to news that coronavirus is particularly deadly for older individuals.
The filming news comes after the Government stated that all workers who cannot work from home should go to their workplace starting tomorrow.
