Coronation Street Hopes To Return Filming Soon – What You Need To Know!

ITV Coronation Street spoilers and updates hint that there may be a chance that Coronation Street will begin production very soon. As a matter of fact, ITV announced today filming will start on June 9. Currently, the only British soap that has decided to start production back up again is Emmerdale. This has pushed them to watch Neighbours and how they have been going about starting up production. So when could the show start back up?

Coronation Street is set to run out of episodes in July and has not filmed in over a month. However, many fans are hoping that the show will begin production soon since Neighbours have been able to start up production by following certain safety measures. Although everyone is hoping that production will begin, Covid-19 is still causing problems for many soaps from being able to start up production.

However, stars of soaps like Coronation Street have been keeping their viewers informed. In this case, Coronation Street Star Samia Longchabon has given some information on when viewers can expect production to start production if things go as plan and nothing goes wrong. She even showed how things might be different production-wise.

Coronation Street Spoilers – What Viewers Can Expect

She stated in an interview with the Sun, “I don’t know the exact date they have in mind, but we’re hoping for June. Everything is crossed, but they will have to sort all the safety measures and social distancing first. Nothing will happen until they are sure we are all safe.

But it will be very different, almost like going back to school because many of us are so used to doing what we do. The show will look a bit different when we come back. We might not have big scenes in The Rovers or the bistro for a long time. They are going to write COVID into the show because they still want viewers to be able to relate to it, plus it would be strange if we didn’t mention it. But it will be light-hearted too — that’s a big part of the show.”

So it seems that the show could start production back as soon as next month if all goes well. However, viewers can expect some differences in the episodes after. It seems that COVID may even make an appearance into the show, which some viewers are split on but could be a good way to explain away the changes to the storylines.
