Coronation Street Spoilers: Abi Franklin Plots Evil Plan Against Killer Corey Brent

Coronation Street spoilers and updates reveal the mourning mother Abi Franklin prepares to bury her murdered son, Seb Franklin. But Abi receives more torture on her most emotional day in “Coronation Street” as the calloused killer Corey Brent arrives at the funeral.

Next Monday, May 31, Abi (Sally Carman) will be seen sobbing near Seb’s coffin as they wait for the hearse to arrive. While waiting, she’s immersed in regretting she could’ve been a better mum.

But the teen killer who has managed to clear his name still has the audacity to show up. Corey (Maximus Evans) announces he only wants to pay his final respects to Seb. But Abi and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher), while grief-stricken, did not buy his reason, in fact, it infuriates them they send him away.

Things get heated when later at the Rovers, Abi overhears Corey talking to someone on the phone. Little did Corey know while he laughs about Seb’s death, Abi plans to take matters into her own hand. Not far, Abi sees a broken bottle and grabs it to attack the shameless teen. Lucky for Corey, his girlfriend Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) spots Abi and manages to calm the furious mum.

Asha and Abi had a heart-to-heart talk. She puts wisdom into Abi, saying that Seb wouldn’t want her mother back to prison. Asha then assures the mum she’s been planning to nail her on-off boyfriend into the case, and Abi’s plan to hurt Corey would derail her secret plot. While Asha proceeds to meet Corey, Abi sets off to buy some drugs.

Coronation Street Spoilers  – Dreadful Revenge Is On The Way

Asha and Abi team up to advance Asha’s plan to get ultimate evidence that will prove Corey’s involvement in the attack. Asha persuades Corey to spend the night at the flat together. She then slips the drug into Corey’s drink. While the drug takes its effects on Corey, Asha scrolls through his phone to find some evidence, but their plans start to change when a worried Nina calls Asha, causing Corey to wake up.

Abi and Nina rush to the flat to check any development, but the groggy Corey moves around the flat, confused about what’s going on. He tries to push his way past them but loses his balance down the stairs.

“Coronation Street” has released the first look of an unconscious Corey at the bottom of the stairs and Asha’s terrified face upon seeing Corey seem lifeless.

Will the trio leave Corey to death to compensate for what he did to Seb? Or will his girlfriend Asha, who is only 16, would want to save him?

Speaking to Inside Soap, Tanisha Gorey reveals that her character Asha is consumed by hatred at that moment. “But at the same time, she’s just 16, and there’s a person lying unconscious in front of her – so she doesn’t know what to do!”

“Asha knows she can’t play dirty because this situation is already dirty enough. She’s a smart girl and knows what she needs to do – she requires proper information if she’s to get Corey arrested,” she explained.
