We will also see Daniel deal with people noticing him spending time with Nicky. Others are starting to recognize her and realize that she’s a sex worker. Daniel will get a lot of heat over his “new girlfriend.” Even though he claims that they are just friends, the comments from everyone are bothering him.

He even calls Nicky a “meaningless sex worker” to his friends and family. At the same time, he tells Nicky that he wants a proper relationship with her. He tries to encourage her to give up her escort job.

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Daniel will visit Nicky, who is hospitalized following an accident. He once again brings up that Nicky should think about a different career path. Then, he places Geoff’s envelope of cash in front of her. Even though he doesn’t specifically say he’ll pay her to stop being an escort, that is clearly what he is doing. How will Nicky feel about Daniel only wanting to date her if she changes into someone else?

It seems like Daniel might have good intentions. But if Nicky is good enough to spend time behind closed doors, then she should be good enough to be seen out in public with him too. When others make comments about Nicky being an escort, Daniel should defend her, not join in the mockery.

The actress has made it clear that Nicky might be an escort, but her job does not define the person she is inside. Will this be something that Daniel has to learn and accept? We don’t see Nicky as the type of girl that is going to change who she is or her life choices just because a man wants her to.
