Coronation Street Spoilers: Debbie Webster ‘Vulnerable,’ Expect Changes In Sue Devaney’s Character

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that we have seen Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) come in and be cold and callous. She partnered with Ray Crosby (Mark Frost) after losing everything in order to get herself built back up again. In the process, she crossed her own brother and became an enemy of the entire street. In the future, we will see a different side to Debbie.

Debbie Webster’s Revelation

Corrie spoilers reveal that Debbie was Team Ray until she saw what he did to Abi Franklin (Sally Carman). The villain drugged Abi and when Debbie walked in, she found the young woman unconscious on the ground. Then, Ray started ordering Debbie to help him cover up the crime. He also demanded that she helpt him as the walls were closing in.

Redemption Attempt

Debbie tries to get redemption and make things right by offering to give Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell) his garage back at no cost to him. Then, she works on a scheme to make sure Ray goes to prison. Meanwhile, Abi tells Kevin that Debbie killed Ray, which is a story that he just doesn’t believe. Now we are seeing Ray sneak around the Bistro while he learns about Debbie’s true intentions. He tries to keep her from putting those plans in action by locking her in an industrial fridge. However, Kevin shows up and knocks Ray over the head with a frying pan. Unfortunately, both the siblings end up locked in the fridge.

Sue Devaney’s Character Softens Up

Coronation Street spoilers from Digital Spy confirm that Devaney just signed a new contract, so her character is staying on the ITV soap. As for what to expect in the future, we will see Debbie soften up a bit. We will also learn that she is quite vulnerable. The actress teased,

“There is a really wonderful moment where she says to him that there will be loads of people out there looking for him but nobody would even know she is missing. That really hit home to me that there are no friends in business, she has always been on the move, she has no family. Kevin realizes how vulnerable she is.”

Coronation Street Spoilers – Rebuilding Relationship

It seems possible that Kevin and Debbie will work on their fractured relationship. Working with Ray and betraying Kevin really damaged the siblings’ relationship. However, things won’t be fixed right away. In the meantime, there will be other storylines where fans will get to see Debbie’s soft side.
