Corrie spoilers reveal fans were pretty intrigued when it was teased there could be a romance in her future. Not seen as a romantic character, it’s been pretty amusing (and sweet) to see her dating. She got together with Arthur after they reconnected. They did have a bit of a rocky start, but things were starting to go smoothly.

As fans recently saw, Arthur and Evelyn were on a date. While at The Rovers, Roy ended up getting friendly with Arthur. The two men bonded over their passion for trains. Of course, Evelyn wasn’t too pleased with this. She took time out of her day to spend it with Arthur — not Arthur and Roy! Plus, she has no interest in trains so she was crazy bored.

Even though Evelyn is one to always speak her mind, she did bit her tongue. She cares about Arthur and knew he was really into the conversation. But she did tell him how she felt on their walk home after their interrupted date.

Arthur tried to make it up to Evelyn with another date. The two were going to have a romantic stroll along the Rochdale Canal. However, they had no idea that Roy overheard their plans and decided to tag along.

Expect Roy to eventually realize his mistake. But then he has a feeling that Evelyn’s issues are much deeper than just him monopolizing her dates with Arthur.

Coronation Street spoilers from Express suggest that Evelyn admits she feels too old to date again. She opens up to the man who she was so annoyed with. Now, Roy always surprises people with how much he understands. He has a unique way of bonding with people and creating connections with unexpected people. Just take Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) and their mutual love of bats.

When Evelyn opens up to Arthur, he tells her that there is no barrier for love and age isn’t important. Could Evelyn realize she has more of a romantic connection to Roy than she does with Arthur? We will have to keep watching to find out.
