Corrie spoilers reveal that fans are so looking forward to filming starting back up again. As for when the long-running ITV series will resume production, Andy Whyment (Kirk Sutherland) told talkSPORT’s The Sports Bar that they are eyeing June 8 as a potential restart date. However, whether that happens is up to the government. Nothing can happen until it gets the green light from them.

The soap star said that things are going to be completely different due to the coronavirus pandemic. People learned a lot and it still can return with a vengeance. However, lives also must go on and people need to get back to work.
When the pandemic caused Corrie to shut down, there were eight episodes that were only partially filmed. So, that’s their first order of business — to complete those half-episodes.
Post-COVID Safety Protocols
Coronation Street spoilers reveal that soap production will be different due to safety measures being put in place. Social distancing will need to be adhered to, so that might make some scenes a little tricky. Luckily, there are creative ways they might be able to work around that without jeopardizing anyone’s health.

Coronation Street Spoilers: What Else To Expect
As fans know, this year will mark the soap’s 60th anniversary in December 2020. Whyment said that they really need to get back to filming. Previously, ITV assured viewers that protocols were being put in place to keep everyone safe. The Corrie star added,
“It’s a massive year for Corrie because we’re 60 in December, so we need to get back filming ASAP and crack on again. But once we’ve got those eight episodes filmed it will give us a little more leeway… There’s going to be no kissing or holding hands.”
