Coronation Street Spoilers: Gail Platt Suffers Heart Attack After Row With Family

Coronation Street: Gail Platt (Helen Worth)“Coronation Street” spoilers and teasers confirmed a dramatic health scare for Gail Platt will unveil next week as a result of the clash between her family over Sam.

The tension between Gail’s (Helen Worth) son Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and his ex-partner Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) is too much for her to handle as Natasha bans Nick from seeing Sam (Jude Riordan) after putting his life in danger following the recent shooting horror.

However, when it is Gail’s time to look after Sam, she’s caught in the crossfire between her family as her son David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) conspires to help his brother Nick to see the child.

Gail resists David’s pressure, insisting that she’s respecting Natasha’s request to ensure the child’s safety for now. However, David maneuvers the situation for the father and son to meet.

The family tension reached the climactic point when Nick announces his decision to sell his shares in the factory in order to focus his time with ex-partner Leanne Battersby, making Sarah (Tina O’Brien) angry. Does this mean Nick and Leanne are getting back together?

Overwhelmed by stress upon how things are turning in her family, Gail rushes outside thinking she only needs fresh air to loosen up, but she doubles over as her chest starts to squeeze. Fortunately, Sam finds her grandmother clutching her chest in pain and calls for help.

Will Gail make it through?

“Coronation Street” Spoilers — The Tables Are Turning

Previously, Leanne was confused as to where Sharon Bentley (Tracie Bennett), Harvey Gaskell’s aunt (Will Mellor), stands in this war when she tried to warn Leanne about the impending danger shortly before the shooting incident.

However, later this week, Sharon pulls off another shocker as she testifies against her drug dealer nephew revealing all his dark secrets.

Leanne also enters the witness box to destroy him, although being constantly threatened by thugs working for Harvey.

Speaking with the Metro, Jane Danson teased on her character becoming the old Leanne again. “She’s already lost a child and been through the worst thing that is ever going to happen so what could be worse than that? That’s when we see her strength forming again and she becomes a little bit of the old Leanne, which I always love!”

Jane also expressed frustrations with filming in the middle of the pandemic. She revealed that her storyline would have been “more physical” if it wasn’t for the health protocols.

“It is frustrating, your natural instinct as an actor is to touch somebody, fight, hold hands. We got used to it. It’s not ideal but hopefully things will change soon,” she said. Keep checking Celebrating the Soaps for more Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates.
