When Oliver is insulted, the grieving mother flies into a rage. She goes to grab Jacob and teach him a lesson he’ll never forget. However, he ends up getting the upper hand and manages to smash Oliver’s music box. It ends up leaving Leanne absolutely devastated and she can’t believe Simon brought this person into their home.

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Oliver’s music box was very special to Leanne. It served as a symbol or reminder of her dead child. When Nick Tilsley’s (Ben Price) son came over for Christmas, he started playing with some of Oliver’s toys. When Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) touched Oliver’s music box, Leanne flipped out. She yelled at the young boy, grabbed the music box out of his hands, and told Nick it would be better if they left. So, you can imagine what a stab to the heart it was for Jacob to smash the memento into a hundred pieces.

It is teased that we will soon meet Harvey (Will Mellor), the drug lord that Jacob and Simon must answer to. The actor teased that Harvey is a terrible human being. In fact, the character is so vile that Mellor is convinced that fans are going to come after him. It sounds like what Ian Barthomolew went through while playing monstrous abuser Geoff Metcalfe. It is stated that Simon is in a situation he can’t escape from. Carla Connor (Alison King) and Nick will both get roped into the drama. However, it will be Leanne who gets fed up and wages war against Harvey.

It was teased by producer Iain MacLeod that the drug dealing storyline will use Leanne and Simon’s grief in a way that isn’t typical in soaps. With how determined Leanne gets to save Simon, it just might be what forces Leanne to get herself together. Will she be able to save Simon from the drug lord or could she end up losing her life? We will have to keep watching the ITV soap to see how this storyline ends.
