She is also bringing a guest, which is her boyfriend. This makes Jenny even more determined to act like their lives are not completely blown to pieces. However, Johnny has no intention of playing along like everything is fine.

It is clear what Johnny is trying to do. Always have good intentions, but always going about it in the completely wrong way. Just like running away to France and not telling Jenny the truth, Johnny has “good intentions” for humiliating Jenny in front of their guests.

He thinks that he is going to be spending years in prison. Not wanting her to suffer for his mistakes, he wants her to move on and have a happy life. The only way he thinks that can happen is if she hates him and agrees to a divorce. However, will his plan work and could he end up regretting it?
