However, Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) wants a divorce. (Sally Ann Matthews) She is sent reeling and even though she is furious about everything, she has no intention of giving him what he wants. She isn’t going to give him a divorce. In fact, she plans on acting like everything is just fine and they are a normal, happy couple.
Happy Family Routine
While Jenny plans on going through each day like everything is normal, she gets a call from her stepdaughter. Daisy wants to come for a visit and have lunch. She is also bringing a guest, which is her boyfriend. This makes Jenny even more determined to act like their lives are not completely blown to pieces. However, Johnny has no intention of playing along like everything is fine.
Humiliating Jenny Connor
Coronation Street spoilers reveal that when Daisy and her boyfriend arrive for lunch, Johnny sets the wheels in motion. He starts telling them the stories of all the shocking and scandalous events that have happened. This goes beyond his criminal past with Scott Emberton (Tom Roberts). He talks about the people who have died, him having an affair and Jenny trying to kill his mistress with a car.
Planning For The Future
It is clear what Johnny is trying to do. Always have good intentions, but always going about it in the completely wrong way. Just like running away to France and not telling Jenny the truth, Johnny has “good intentions” for humiliating Jenny in front of their guests.
He thinks that he is going to be spending years in prison. Not wanting her to suffer for his mistakes, he wants her to move on and have a happy life. The only way he thinks that can happen is if she hates him and agrees to a divorce. However, will his plan work and could he end up regretting it?
