 Coronation Street Spoilers – Liz McDonald’s Exit Upset Fans

Corrie spoilers reveal that fans were shocked by Liz’s exit from the ITV soap opera. For 31 years, Liz had caused chaos and mayhem in Weatherfield. The fan-favorite character didn’t have a proper exit, though, and disappeared off-screen. So, this didn’t sit very well with viewers, who insisted that the character (and actress) come back.

After the outcry from viewers for Liz’s return, the actress made a startling confession that brought a lot of hope. According to Express, Beverley admitted that she will be back sometime in the future. So, when could she return and what kind of storyline would she have?

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that the 60th-anniversary special is coming up and there will be a lot of huge surprises. Could one of them be Liz’s sudden return? Oliver Battersby (Emmanuel and Jeremiah Cheetham) was diagnosed with mitochondrial disease and doesn’t have a good prognosis.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Why Did Actress Leave?

Now, the decision to write Liz off probably wasn’t an easy one and most likely had to do with the actress having real-life medical issues. In March, she went through surgery on her hip. However, she ended up having complications and it resulted in the actress being barely able to walk. However, during a recent interview with Mirror, Beverley said that she is determined to fight.

“This is the toughest fight of my life but I am determined to win it. I am a strong woman but another strong woman in my life is Liz McDonald and she has been for 31 years… I love playing here and she has inspired me to want to get on my feet again so I can do it one last time.”

Beverley added that the soap has been amazing during her difficult time and even offered to make alternative arrangements so she could still appear on the show.

“Corrie has been amazing. They said they could get me a wheelchair and film my return like that. But, unfortunately, it wouldn’t work for me or for Liz! I’m hoping I won’t have to have a wheelchair now… I don’t think I’ll be back until next year but I will be back – that’s for sure.”
