Coronation Street Spoilers – Who Is Scott Emberton?

Corrie spoilers previously teased a newcomer would send Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) fleeing. Johnny normally isn’t the type of guy to scare easily or run away from situations. However, the new long-term guest at the Rovers is someone that Johnny wants to avoid. He also seems to be worried that Scott will expose something dark in his past.

Roberts spoke about his new role with Metro. The actor explained that Scott is charismatic, confident, and definitely has a way with the ladies.

Coronation Street Spoilers –  Johnny Connor’s Dark Past

There is something in Johnny’s past that he doesn’t want to come out. He doesn’t even want his wife, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) to know about it. He begins secretly slipping away, taking private phone calls, and makes excuses about not feeling well.

Then, he decides that they must travel to France to see their granddaughter right away. Jenny is baffled and reminds him of their responsibilities there. However, he comes up with an idea of how the Rovers can have proper coverage.

Before leaving though, Johnny runs smack into Scott. The newcomer claims that he isn’t there to cause drama and he won’t bring up their past. However, Johnny isn’t so sure and is definitely worried about it. So, it must be something pretty bad.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Bad Romance: Omen of Doom

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Liz doesn’t have a good history with romance. She always seems to pick the wrong guys and this time will be no different. Expect Scott and Liz to hit it off right away, which spells trouble. Express speculated that this might lead to Liz’s exit. Roberts teased,

“There is an instant spark with Liz, most definitely and that will be further explored and picked up again when this current situation is over… So the fact that she gets her eye on him is probably an omen of doom for what kind of guy he really is.”

Coronation Street Spoilers – Devastating and Heartbreaking Exit

Show boss Iain Macleod said last year that Liz’s exit would be devastating and heartbreaking. It will also be quite explosive. However, he also made it clear that the character would not be killed off. Perhaps she finds out about his dark past and that puts her in danger? Could she leave the cobbles in order to protect herself from this dangerous newcomer? It certainly is possible.

This is not Roberts’ first time on Corrie, although this is a brand new character. Previously, the actor portrayed a solicitor, health inspector, and Dr. William Gerald. He also has been on other soaps, including Doctors and Emmerdale.
