Coronation Street Spoilers – Introducing Nicky Wheatley

Corrie spoilers reveal that at first, all we knew about Nicky was that she was a sex worker who would share a scene with Daniel. However, nobody imagined that it would end up the way it has so far. Not only did they share a scene, but the two characters are part of a bigger story.

We know that Daniel feels he can open up to her about Sinead Osbourne’s (Katie McGlynn) death. He becomes desperate to see her and is “bitterly disappointed” when Adam Barlow (Samuel Robertson) can’t babysit. Then, he’s annoyed by having to go back to work and asks for an advance on his paycheck to pay for more time with Nicky.

Corrie Street Soap Spoilers – Daniel Osbourne’s Intentions

The two are attracted to one another, but the intention isn’t a sexual relationship, at least not right now. Daniel really needs someone he can talk to without judgment and Nicky is serving that purpose. Sure, his family is there for him, but Daniel feels that he is supposed to grieve “a certain way” and for a specific amount of time.

Coronation Street spoilers from Inside Soap reveal that there is a lot more to Nicky than what meets the eye. The actress told the magazine that she is learning more about Nicky, why she is a sex worker, and taking down stereotypes. She explained,

“I love her! She has so many elements of me. She’s a powerful woman, she must be to do what she does, and do it with a smile. Also, I love that Coronation Street is playing with the perception of what a sex worker looks like, and trying to take down that stereotype.”

Hart-Simpson also teased that there is a major twist coming this week in regards to Daniel and Nicky’s storyline. The actress told the publication that out of all the theories out there, not one person has correctly guessed it.
