However, Yasmeen would either change her mind or Geoff would intercept her escape. Last year, the abuse got really bad and Alya spent all her time trying to help Yasmeen, searching for evidence against Geoff, or working.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Prison Nightmare

Then there came the night Geoff lunged at Yasmeen and she hit him with a bottle to protect herself. She was charged with attempted murder and had to go on trial. That turned into a very long ordeal for several reasons. COVID-19, Yasmeen’s heart attack, and searching for a missing Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) were some of the factors.

Once Yasmeen was ruled not guilty and released from prison, Ryan and Alya thought the nightmare was over. They probably imagined getting back to their normal lives, but that’s not what happened.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Geoff Metcalfe’s Debt

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Alya has been struggling to deal with her grandmother’s panic attacks and seeing the dead abuser everywhere. Then there was going through the house and the flashbacks that came along with it. Now there is Geoff’s massive debt and loans, which Yasmeen is financially responsible for, but can’t pay. It is just one thing after another and it’s not Yasmeen’s fault. However, it is affecting Ryan and Alya’s relationship.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Breakup Inevitable?

When Ryan mentioned to Alya that he was bored, he really meant lonely. When he asked when the last time they spent time together, that was a big hint. However, Alya is still too consumed with her grandmother’s problems. She isn’t even noticing what Ryan is trying to say. Unfortunately, he will either have another affair or could just walk away from the relationship. Whatever connection and bond they shared probably isn’t even there anymore. They have just spent too much time focusing on everyone else and neglecting their relationship.
