Coronation Street Spoilers hint that there is more trouble coming to the scene in next week’s episodes of Corrie. As viewers may know, Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) has been continuously abused by Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew), emotionally and mentally.

However, this has all come to a head a hungry and abused Yasmeen is pushed to the edge and stabs Geoff with a broken wine bottle. This will cause him to be on the brink of death, and he may even die. This has lead fans to worry about the future of Yasmeen, and with Alya returning after getting the news, fans have wondered how can she be of help. Well, Shair Khan has recently shared in an interview just how Alya will try and help her grandma.

Alya has made no effort to keep her thoughts about Geoff a secret as she has always suspected that Geoff was up to no good. However, Yasmeen has stuck by his side, but after seeing through his fake ways, she has finally seen his dark side but not without consequences. As she was forced to eat the same meal for breakfast and lunch. After being invited out, she hoped that she would be able to finally get something to eat. However, this ended in disaster, and she was forced to make her way back home.

This lead to her having to defend herself against a threatening Geoff who said he should kill her. However, this will lead to her arrest, and when Alya comes back, she will want to do something to help and, she will not hesitate to help her gran.

In a recent interview, Shair, who plays Alya, discussed how Alya would help her grad. Shair stated in the interview, “Alya’s truly shocked but blames Geoff because she knows how twisted he is and how vulnerable her gran has been. But when Ryan tells her that Geoff is unconscious and Yasmeen might’ve killed him, the gravity of the situation really hits home. Alya lets rip about her feelings towards Geoff and her concerns that Yasmeen has been brainwashed after months of abuse.

Although Imran is sympathetic, he has to follow the law, and right now, Yasmeen is admitting her guilt, so it doesn’t matter if he believes Alya or not.” It will be no surprise to hear that Geoff would drive her grand that far as he has pushed another woman far enough to assault him as well. It’s a combination of being hungry, talked down on, and the threat of being killed that pushed Yasmeen that far and she may have even been angry/ frustrated as well.

Alya will take the time to go up to everyone and explain what was going on behind closed doors. She will gain the attention of Sally, who may begin to believe what Alya is saying, but Geoff’s son Tim (Joe Duttine)will not want to hear any of it. It is disappointing but understandable as he does feel that his father is perfect and is grieving. He has to blame someone, so why not Yasmeen. As for Alha, this can be frustrating, and Shair explains, “(Alya is) angered but not surprised by Tim’s reaction. The battle lines have been firmly drawn. Alya will stop at nothing to make sure the residents of Coronation Street find out what Geoff is really like. Her first plan is to find allies, and she may just have found one in Sally.”

However, things do not go down the way she wants as Yasmeen is denied bail. However, Alya is not giving up, “Alya is truly shocked at Yasmeen being denied bail. She’d held onto hope that the truth would come out, and justice would be served.
