When she told everyone she was going to France during Chirsmtas, Simon found her hiding out in Nick Tilsley’s (Ben Price) flat. When she overdosed, Simon was the one who called an ambulance. When she begged Simon not to tell anyone she was there, he covered for her. Now Leanne has quit her job and there is no money to pay the bills, which will fall on Simon’s shoulders.

According to Metro, Simon will be forced to be the adult and provide. However, he is just a teenager and it seems all the adults in his life are failing him. Simon has to be Leanne’s parent, Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) is speeding up his death by drinking with liver failure. He is pushing everyone away, getting violent, and writes Simon a goodbye letter. Carla Connor (Alison King) is busy dealing with Peter, which is non-stop stress. Now the electric is going to be shut off and Leanne has no food.

Simon certainly can’t go to Leanne. It’s because of her that he’s in this spot. While he did agree to keep Leanne’s secret, it might be time to find an adult and tell them what’s going on. However, he won’t do that and the drug situation will end up becoming dangerous. It will be a six-month storyline that eventually forces Leanne to save Simon before something tragic happens. Let’s hope that by the time she gets herself together it won’t be too late for Simon.
