Corrie spoilers reveal that when Oliver began having seizures, he was admitted to the hospital for tests. However, the diagnosis wouldn’t be epilepsy. Instead, his loved ones were told that the young boy had mitochondrial disease. Then, they would be delivered another blow when told about the child’s dire prognosis.

Viewers have watched as Leanne has struggled to accept her son’s diagnosis. She desperately looked for any sign that he was recovering. Then, she was forced to deal with the truth and completely fell apart. But after a conversation with someone who went through something similar with their own child, Leanne decided that she was going to make Oliver’s time left the best days possible.

Coronation Street spoilers from Digital Spy confirm that now, it is Steve who is struggling with the inevitable. When he learns that the cafe is having a veggie day, he lashes out at Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher). Then, he leaves only to come back later with sausages. It is teased that when Leanne walks in later, she sees Steve having a sausage protest behind the counter. She is able to coax him out, though.

It is indicated that later, Steve and Leanne will have an emotional discussion about what they are going through and how each is handling Oliver’s fate. Steve ends up feeling comforted by the mother of his child. However, could this lead to something more, even though the two of them are in relationships with other people? It wouldn’t be the first time that grieving parents would find comfort with one another.
