Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Gareth explained that Todd (Gareth Pierce) is pretending to be buddies with Paul in order to get him to talk. In order to exploit his weaknesses, he needs to know what they are. There is one topic that is still fresh and raw for Paul — and that is the sexual abuse he endured as a boy by pedophile Kel Hinchley. Viewers watched the emotional storyline not too long ago and it was a real struggle for Paul, as well as his friends and family.

Using Abuse History As Ammunition

It is confirmed by the actor that Todd will use something that happens at the helpline as a way to target and destroy Paul. He said,

“Volunteering at the helpline is just another way of getting into Paul’s orbit. Todd knows that he wants to toy with Paul, but hasn’t figured out how he’s going to do that. So, when he finds out about the helpline, Todd wants to be on the inside of that as well.”

Any decent human being wouldn’t dare cross the line that Todd does, so what happens now? Could Paul end up completing snapping and lose control when he discovers the truth?
