Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Hollyoaks alum Will Mellor has been cast in the ITV soap. He will play a drug lord connected to Simon Barlow’s (Alex Bain) storyline. In fact, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) will put on her armor and battle the drug kingpin in order to save Simon. She refuses to lose another child and will do whatever is necessary, even jeopardizing her own life.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Simon Barlow Under Pressure

Corrie spoilers reveal that Simon is under a ton of pressure. Not only is he dealing with Peter Barlow’s (Chris Gascoyne) alcohol addiction and liver failure diagnosis, Leanne is a handful too. She quit her job and now the power company is threatening to shut off the utilities. Plus, with Simon having the only income coming in and Leanne’s emotional state, things are only going to get worse. We saw last week how Simon’s super generous “friend” is really setting him up.

Conned Into Drug World

Simon will get roped into delivering drugs and even though he’s not interested, he’s forced into it. Not wanting to add to Leanne or Peter’s stress, he doesn’t know what to do. There are other adults that could probably help him, but he doesn’t want to bother anyone. Everyone is already going through so much. Unfortunately for Simon, things only get worse and there comes a point in time when his life actually ends up in danger.

Coronation Street spoilers from The Sun confirm that Will Mellor of Hollyoaks has been cast as the drug lord. He will show up as things getting even more dire for Simon. However, he won’t just have to face Simon. Leanne gets involved when she learns that Simon is in hot water. It was previously teased that Leanne would dust herself off, put on her armor, and go to war to save Simon’s life.

Leanne Battersby’s War

Leanne has already been struggling so much after Oliver Battersby’s (Jeremiah and Emmanual Cheetham) death. There is no way she is losing another child. In the weeks ahead, expect to see Leanne get so desperate that she will turn to a psychic for answers about Oliver. While that is going on, Simon’s predicament is going to get even worse. At some point, Leanne will come out of her grief-induced fog and realize that Simon is in trouble. When she goes to war with a drug lord, though, will she really be able to win? Or will fans have to say goodbye to the character after all these years? We will have to keep watching the ITV soap opera to find out how this story ends.
