Realizing that he is losing his grip on Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King), he takes things a step further. Using manipulation, he destroys Yasmeen’s friendship with Cathy Matthews (Melanie Hill) and she feels even more alone and trapped.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Domestic Violence Pamphlet Discovered

Corrie spoilers reveal that Geoff ends up finding Yasmeen’s domestic violence pamphlet. The police gave it to her and it listed warning signs of abuse. She tried to hide it from Geoff, but it’s difficult to hide something when one is excessively monitoring the house.

Geoff’s discovery also alerts him that Yasmeen is becoming more aware that she is a victim of abuse. This means Geoff is starting to lose his iron-clad grip on Yasmeen, which causes him to find a new way to torment her.

According to the Mirror, Geoff is worried that Yasmeen’s independence will cause her to leave. He also doesn’t want anyone else to know about his vile behavior. He has spent several months destroying Yasmeen’s self-esteem, gaslighting her so she questions her own sanity, and isolating her from loved ones.

After reading the abuse pamphlet, Geoff decides that he needs to destroy whatever outside links that Yasmeen has left. When Yasmeen and Cathy decide to catch up on each other’s lives, Geoff gets in the middle to destroy the friendship.

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Geoff manipulates the conversation so that Yasmeen accidentally insults Cathy. It ends with Cathy storming out of Yasmeen’s house. Still mentally manipulated by Geoff, she has no clue that he is responsible for what happened. As many victims do, Yasmeen blames herself.

Coronation Street Spoilers = Yasmeen Nazir’s Despair

Yasmeen is already feeling distraught and now she might have lost another connection outside of her relationship with Geoff. Capitalizing on this, Geoff tells Yasmeen that she simply went too far this time and has lost Cathy forever.

By putting this in her mind, Geoff is making sure that Yasmeen doesn’t go after Cathy. It increases her isolation and that is one less person Geoff has to worry about. However, will Cathy take the next step and reach out to Yasmeen? If the two women end up talking again, they will likely figure out that the problem wasn’t caused by Yasmeen herself, but evil Geoff.

Will this prompt her to finally get out for good? We will have to keep watching to see how this storyline progresses.
