Bachelor Matt James Celebrates Iman Shumpert Winning Dancing With The Stars

Dancing with the Stars Season 30 once again featured someone from Bachelor Nation, Matt James. In Season 28, Hannah Brown won, and then in season 29, Kaitlyn Bristowe took home the Mirror Ball Trophy. Matt wasn’t so fortunate, but he’s way too big a man and a good sport to moan about it. In fact, he celebrated the win by Iman Shumpert.

Matt and his pro-dancer, Lindsay Arnold were eliminated from the competition in the second part of Disney Night back in October. So, by the time the winner, Iman Shumpert was announced, he’d been out of the competition for some time. Once again, the controversial split judges’ decisions saw an unpopular result. Sharna Burgess and Brian Austin Greene went home. And that left Kenya Moore and Matt at risk, Eventually, as the judges were split, Len Goodman sent Matt home. A lot of fans felt upset by that, but Matt seemed like a really good sport about it.

Dancing with the Stars fans were lucky that the show didn’t lose people from COVID. In fact, Judge Derek Hough had to appear remotely for the final as he went down. Actually, his sister stood in for him. Then, Cody Rigsby and his partner who eventually made it to the finals also fell sick. But for Matt James, who didn’t get ill, he was out of the competition early, and the virus didn’t affect him. However, he’s not down in the dumps about it and fans applauded the caption he posted up on Wednesday, November 24.

Dancing with the Stars – Matt James Posts About Winners

Taking to his Instagram, Matt shared a lot of photos of both himself and Iman, and others with their dance partners. In his caption, which fans loved, he showed his bigness. He wrote, “Promise yourself today to be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own 🥳🕺🏿💫🙌🏾.” That was very well received. Bachelor Nation star JoJo Fletcher commented, “YES to this caption. 👏” Then, Iman responded by posting, “My mf dog!!! 🙌”

The post by the Dancing with the Stars hopeful also saw a comment from Lindsay Arnold, who joked about looking bad in the pictures. Many ABC fans also commented as it seemed like such a good sporting gesture to celebrate the win by a rival. Of course, with his prior career in the NFL, Matt probably lost to better players many times in the past. So, he obviously learned to be gracious when he lost. Actually, it’s seldom that people see such good sportsmanship these days, so his comment stood out.
