Dancing With The Stars Host Tyra Banks Allegedly FORCED To Accept New DWTS Co-Host!

Dancing With The Stars Host Tyra Banks Allegedly FORCED To Accept New DWTS Co-Host!Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) host Tyra Banks faced a challenging situation when she tried to fill ex-host Tom Bergeron’s shoes. And fans who adored Tom didn’t hold back in slamming Tyra for everything from her outfits to her comments. Recently, though, DWTS producers did a pirouette in announcing a co-host for Tyra.

But Banks reportedly did not get a choice in the matter. And a new report claims she felt forced to welcome her new DWTS co-host. Get all the dance-worthy details below.

Tyra Banks FORCED To Welcome New DWTS Co-Host?!

In the eyes of many Dancing With The Stars fans, Tom Bergeron seemed like the perfect host. As a result, when DWTS producers fired him, his fans protested. And the backlash extended to slamming new host Tyra Banks. However, now some protesters seem to have gotten a partial win. Because DWTS just unveiled a new co-host for Tyra.

But a new report claims that Banks got an ultimatum over co-hosting, according to a source via Pop Culture. Because Tyra allegedly behaved like a diva, producers picked “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” alum Alfonso Ribeiro to co-host. And he also became popular during his own stint on DWTS. However, Banks allegedly wanted to host solo.

“Tyra was basically told that she would have to co-host the show with Alfonso or not host the show at all,” claimed the insider. However, the “America’s Next Top Model” diva believed in the power of “her personality and talent.” But viewers disagreed, with focus groups pointing to a co-host change. “Obviously, Tyra wasn’t happy about the decision,” added the insider.

DWTS Cast And Crew Get ‘Good News’ In Host Switch-Up

However, if Banks had refused, producers allegedly vowed to fire her. But fans of Ribeiro don’t need to worry about his ability to deal with this delicate situation. “Alfonso has worked with Tyra before,” explained the insider. As a result, he “knows what he is getting into,” the source added.

And the entire Dancing With The Stars cast and crew (minus Banks) reportedly celebrated the news. Tyra “might not [like having] him around,” admitted the insider. “But the good news is everyone else does. Firing Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews and replacing them with Tyra was a huge mistake. They can’t get Tom and Erin back but bringing back Alfonso might work. If it doesn’t, the show will be canceled,” warned the source.

And the reaction from viewers seemed to confirm that warning. For instance, one Twitter follower posted, “That’s half good news. The good part is that @alfonso_ribeiro is going to host. The bad news is that Tyra Banks is going to host. Too bad nobody will be watching anyway because they moved it to their streaming service Disney+.” And another got blunt, “No, Thank You! I have zero desire to watch that anymore. Tom Bergeron helped make DWTS what it was, and as such he really should still be hosting.” And one even mourned, “They were so close to making it right with Alfonso, but they blew it when they kept Tyra.”

Tyra stinks, she thinks that she is the best thing that could happen. I can’t stand her, she’s an arrogant piece of *****.

I won’t be watching. Firing Tom and Erin ruined it and changed the show too much. Tyra and her attitude finished it for me. It would have been so much better to just give the show to Alfonso. Disney made too many bad choices. I feel bad for the professional dancers.

  4. Gail says

They should have gotten rid of Tyra. That’s what the fans wanted.

  5. Mimi says

Tyra was never accepted by the viewers. What part of that did the producers not understand? Keeping her on, even as a cohost will most certainly seal the fate of the show.

I won’t be watching since it is leaving ABC. I don’t have Disney Plus and won’t pay extra just for this show.
