Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) host Julianne Hough just dropped hints about a major career move. But while the DWTS star teased her new project, fans asked producers to fire her from Dancing With The Stars, reported the Sun.

Julianne hinted at her new project in an Instagram Story. It showed the DWTS host seated at a table. And she laid two Disney Holiday Special scripts in front of her. The 35-year-old and her older brother Derek, 38, have served as hosts for Disney specials previously.

For instance, the dancing duo hosted Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration in Orlando. And it offered viewers everything from dance numbers to special guests. However, Julianne also has co-hosted with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Tituss Burgess.

Dancing With The Stars – Fans Want Julianne Hough Fired

Julianne felt thrilled when DWTS chose her as co-host. And fans reacted favorably initially at the news that Hough would replace Tyra Banks. In her new role, Julianne co-hosts with Alfonso Ribeiro, 52.

DWTS has assigned Julianne to sit in the sky box and view the performances with the other competitors. And she then interviews the contestants after their dances. But fans feel that Hough lacks hosting skills. And her brother Derek came in for his own share of criticism.

For instance, one critic shared, “Derek and Julianne gotta go. If you ain’t dancing, you ain’t doing it. Julianne is cringy as hell on the mic and Derek is delusional and weird on this Harry and Rylee showmance train. Bring back Tyra [Banks] and throw Louis Van Amstel in Derek’s spot. I’ve seen enough.”

And fans also felt annoyed at how Julianne focuses on rumored romances among the contestants. For instance, Hough chatted with dancers Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold about the gossip linked to their relationship. And Julianne referred to them as “lovebirds.”

As a result, one fan complained, “She’s shipping them HARD.” And another shared, “I’m not even mad at Rylee & Harry for playing into their flirting/possible relationship bc it’s bringing in the views & votes. But the fact that others like Derek & Julianne are playing along with it too not only shocks me but makes me LOL.”

Julianne also sparked a backlash over a TikTok video. She showed her makeover in an attempt to resemble Madonna. But fans didn’t feel impressed at her appearance in a short blonde wig, bright red lipstick, and fake beauty spot on her face. And the pinstripe suit’s cutouts on her cleavage showed off her pink lingerie.

For the background music, Julianne chose, “This pic I took is fire, my selfie ’bout to drop. Put that money in my bag and I’ll make the world stop.” And she wrote in her caption, “Just like a prayer, I’ll take you there. To DWTS that is.”

But fans hated it. For example, one wrote, “I know it’s typical of Madonna. But for a family show, she could have not added the pink underwear over the suit.” And another complained, “I can’t watch 2 hours of Julianne in that outfit. Hurts my eyes. Tuning to The Weather Channel.”
