Dancing With The Stars – To Feature All-Winner Season?
Derek Hough recently became a judge on Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) after wowing fans for 17 seasons as a pro dancer.
And now Derek has decided to give fans a look at behind the scenes discussions. The DWTS producers have discussed staging an all-winners season, shared Hough via TV Line.
“I think that it’d be a really, really competitive season,” gushed the DWTS judge. And Derek teased the possibility by describing his own wish list of competitors on an all-winners season.
For instance, Hough nominated Nicole Scherzinger, with whom he won Season 10.
And the DWTS star judge also would like to see Bindi Irwin return to the show. Derek and Bindi dominated season 21. “I think Rashad Jennings would love to come back,” added Hough. “Donny Osmond, I know he’d probably love to come back too. Even Jordan Fisher, who was fantastic.”
Derek Hough – Reveals If Alfonso Ribeiro Could Star In All-Winners Season
However, the DWTS judge doesn’t think that season 19 winner Alfonso Ribeiro should participate in an all-winners season.
“No, not now,” insisted Hough. And he pointed out, “Alfonso’s a host now, so he can’t come back!”
But Derek also shared why he might opt out of an an all-winners season as well. “I feel like I’ve done that: I really squeezed the juice out of that you, if you will,” explained the DWTS judge.
And he added, “I love being a judge. I never say never because at the end of the day, I love to entertain, I love to perform and if it is something that audiences want to see… Never say never.”
Dancing With The Stars experimented with offering a season only on Disney+. However, this autumn, Dancing With the Stars will make its comeback to ABC for season 32. But Disney+ users will still enjoy the new episodes via live stream.
And after Tyra Banks exited, Ribeiro will return as host. He will be joined by Derek’s sister, former pro dancer Julianne Hough, as co-host.
As far as celebrity dancers, thus far only one-star contestant has been revealed for season 32. And that is Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix, who has shared she looks forward to competing on Dancing With the Stars.
