Days of Our Lives Spoilers And Recap Thursday, October 17 – Kayla Isn’t Sure Julie Is Well; Gabi Lashes Out At Kate

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Thursday, October 17, 2019, reveals Will Horton (Chandler Massey) shows up at the hospital with flowers for Kate Dimera (Lauren Koslow).

Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) tells Will that Kate is being released today. Kate tries to slip out of the hospital. Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) arrives with news about Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). Lucas calls Kate to meet him to say goodbye.

Will runs interference between them. Kate and Lucas hug and say their goodbyes. Kate finds Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) in the park having another episode. Hope tells Kate not to touch her. Hope says Kate startled her. Hope claims to be fine and leave.

Days of Our Lives Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) wakes up Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) to let her know Julie came through surgery ok. Jennifer should be mad at Jack but she isn’t. Jack brought coffee because Jennifer has to be tired of the hospital brew.

Jennifer thanks Jack for staying with her. Jack is glad to be there. Jennifer tells Jack he has a huge heart. Jack wants to leave Jennifer and correct a terrible injustice. Jennifer speaks to Lucas before visiting Julie. Lucas has to get back to his daughter. Lucas tells Will he can keep an eye on Kate.

Everyone agrees that Kate is back to her old self. Kayla finds Jennifer and apologizes. Kayla tells Jennifer she kicked Dr. Rolf (William Utay) out of the lab. Kayla says Rolf left behind a flash drive. Jennifer wants the flash drive and says she will deal with Rolf.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Jack Deveraux Plans To Resign Position As Mayor

Days of Our Lives Abe Carver (James Reynolds) sees Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) in the square and calls to her. Hope finally hears Abe and responds. Hope tells Abe she is fine. Hope was thinking about Gabi. Abe asks how the transplant went. Hope isn’t sure if Julie is awake. Hope couldn’t take the hospital any longer and took a walk. Abe says Julie would understand Hope needing a break.

Hope doesn’t know why but she feels off. Hope gets a text that Julie is awake and leaves for the hospital. Abe realizes that Hope is acting strange. Abe is having breakfast at the pub and Jack joins him. Abe congratulates Jack on getting his memory back. Jack tells Abe he owes him an apology. Hope walks past the pub and gets a pain in the side of her head. Jack apologizes to Abe for all the damage he did. Jack wants to make things right and he wants Abe to take his job.

Jack doesn’t deserve to be mayor. Jack says Abe represents the best of Salem and wants to resign immediately. Abe is flattered but it doesn’t work that way. Jack says the city will have to appoint someone to take his place. Jack asks for Abe’s blessing to throw his hat back in the ring for mayor. Jack tells Jennifer what he has done. Abe agrees they are still friends and they hug.

Days of Our Lives Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) asks Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) if Julie shouldn’t be waking up soon. Julie awakens and speaks to Doug. Julie asks Doug how she got back to the hospital. Kayla tells Julie they found her a heart just in time. Julie asks where her new heart came from since Kate is ok. Julie is stunned when she learns she has Stefan’s heart.

Julie doesn’t understand how Gabi could save her life. Eli sings Gabi’s praises for donating Stefan’s heart to her. Lani remembers how Gabi made her beg for the heart. Eli and Lani want to postpone the wedding. Julie refuses to let them postpone the wedding for her. Julie says their wedding will make her heart heal. Julie wants Lani and Eli to have a perfect wedding. Hope arrives to visit Julie.

Hope has called the family and given them the news. She gives the rosary back to Julie. Jennifer asks if Julie needs anything. Julie wants to speak to Gabi. Doug calls Gabi for Julie. Julie asks Gabi to come to the hospital. Hope calls Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) with news about Julie. Kayla is afraid that Gabi will upset Julie. Kayla agrees as long as Julie promises to get some rest. Julie wants confirmation that she will be fine, Kayla can’t give her that.

Days of Our Lives Gabi Dimera (Camilla Banus) wakes up and has to face Stefan’s death again. Gabi checks her phone and ignores her missed calls. Gabi stares at the photo of Stefan and herself beside the bed and cries. Kate shows up to visit Gabi. Gabi tells Kate she and Vivian Alamain (Robin Strasser) should be in the morgue. Gabi apologizes for going off on Kate. Gabi cannot understand how Vivian is going to get away with what happened to Stefan and Kate.

Kate assures Gabi that Vivian is paying for her actions. Gabi is upset that Lani isn’t going to pay. Gabi tells Kate that Lani was reckless. Gabi wishes she could make Lani pay. Gabi hated Lani before this happened. Kate tells Gabi she needs to deal with her grief. Gabi needs to focus on Kate and her miraculous recovery. Kate tells Gabi she snuck out early. Kate tells Gabi about Mr. Shin (Michael Hagiwara) give her job to Tony Dimera (Thaao Penghlis) temporarily. Kate tells Gabi she’s considering going back to Titan.

Gabi tells Kate she can’t leave her alone. Kate tells Gabi she should be in charge of Dimera herself. Gabi knew Stefan had projects in the works. Kate tells Gabi to brush up on them and pitch them to Shin. Gabi arrives to hear Lani and Eli discussing there wedding and is very upset. Gabi says things may be perfect for some people but she’s planning a funeral. Gabi tells Eli she’s there to see Julie but Kayla says there is a problem.
