NBC Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) has second thoughts about DA Melinda Trask’s (Tina Huang) deal. He knows that Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) will never forgive him if she finds out he secretly recorded Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) confession and hands it over. So, he goes to Kristen and makes a desperate plea to save his wife.

DOOL spoilers reveal that Melinda told Eli that his wife would have her twin babies in prison. In order for her not to prosecute Lani, Eli would have to give the DA Kristen on a silver platter. She suggested that he secretly record her confessing to the crime. If he turned that tape over to Melinda, then Lani wouldn’t go to prison and “Elani” could live happily ever after.

Eli loves his wife so much and would do anything to protect her, even if it means she will hate him forever. So, he went to the Salem Inn to talk to Kristen. He got her into the conversation and brought up how much Lani risked to help her. This created an opening for Kristen to talk about stabbing Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). Eli got what he wanted and Kristen admitted to the crime while secretly being recorded.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Eli is questioning his deal. As we previously speculated, he can’t go through with it. Even though he has Kristen’s taped confession, he decides to try one more thing before handing it over to Trask. He goes to Kristen and admits that he was secretly recording her confession. He also explains why he did it. Kristen is furious with Eli but understands he was driven by his love for Lani.

Then, Eli begs her to confess to the crime so Lani won’t go to prison and lose her twin babies.
