Days of Our Lives spoilers have teased that we will see what exactly happened the night Allie was raped. Actor Mike Manning, who plays Charlie Dale, recently stated that the rape was “brutal.” Even Arnold had a hard time with the storyline and told Soap Opera Digest she would cry after the cameras stopped rolling.

Allie will have Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) hypnotize her so she remembers what really happened that night. It’s not just to clear Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams), but it will make her witness statement strong. As it is right now, her statement is considered weak and it would make a conviction less likely. The defense will certainly use her accusing Tripp to create reasonable doubt. Allie deserves justice, so she is going to have to be absolutely certain of the facts when she gets on the witness stand.

The only way to be certain is by remembering everything from that night. While there are several good reasons to go through hypnosis, it is teased that there could be unforeseen consequences.

The actress explained, “She basically realizes that Tripp was actually a total gentleman, nice guy who helped her home and that Charlie was the one who did this. It’s a huge shock to her and a huge blow to the entire last few months for her…”

Arnold also mentioned how guilty Allie will feel. For months, she accused Tripp of raping her. He could have lost his freedom and even his life if he stuck around Salem. Feeling guilty about putting Tripp through the ordeal will weigh heavily on Allie.

DOOL Spoilers – No Running Away From Memories

Even though Tripp will be cleared and Charlie will eventually have to answer for his actions, how does the sudden flood of trauma and guilt affect Allie’s future? Well, she might struggle for a bit, but Allie has a lot of support. Plus, with Marlena being a psychiatrist, she will be able to work with Allie as she copes with not being able to turn those memories off.

Remember all the times Allie ran away from her problems?  Days of Our Lives comings and goings reveal she came to Salem because she was running. She ran away from the hospital. She is always running and in a way, her blocked memories allowed her to not face the reality of what happened to her. But when those memories come in like a flash flood, Allie won’t have anywhere to run and hide. She’s going to have to be strong enough to overcome the trauma.
