In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, he revealed that Days called about his return to the soap as Jack. Ashford was set to leave L.A. and move east to The Berkshires with his wife Lana Buss and kids, Henry and Willa, when he got a call from the soap’s bosses and gave him an offer, which he described as “too good to say no to.”

He wanted to accept the offer but didn’t want to ditch his family plans so he decided to do both. He said “I’ve been commuting, which has its own challenges, but we’ve been making it work.”

When asked about his return, he said Days fans will enjoy it. Jack was thought to have died when he fell down the elevator shaft after saving his daughter from an elevator that was about to plummet. He made a brief appearance as Jack’s ghost, but now, he is definitely back for good. Viewers will surely be kept at the edge of their seats.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Eve crashes Doug’s Place where the New Year’s Eve party for the Horton Foundation to lash out at the people who she believes have done her wrong when a special guests arrives – Jack Deveraux. His return to Salem will shock Jennifer and Eve.

Excited to see the love of her life, Jennifer feels a surge of emotions at the sight of her husband, who is alive and well, but her heart is crushed when he doesn’t remember her.

Meanwhile, Eve, who is Jack’s ex-wife, will do everything to get back at Jennifer and with Jack’s memory gone, she might have just found a way to hurt Jennifer. The Deverauxs, especially Jennifer, struggle to cope with Jack’s condition. Will Jennifer get through to Jack and help him remember the love they shared?
