Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that JJ Devereaux (Casey Moss) will soon be leaving Salem, but what will be the reason for his departure? JJ has been through more than his share of tragedy in the last few years. Or will he go into a long term treatment program for his addiction issues?

JJ first found love with Paige Larson (True O’Brien) a few years back. They had their ups and downs, but then she was murdered by the “Necktie Killer”, aka Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). In addition, his most recent love, Haley Chin (Thia Megia) was accidentally killed by Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk).

DOOL Spoilers – Addiction issues

When JJ first came on the scene, he was heavily into drugs. He eventually got clean but relapsed recently after Hayley’s death. He’s working on staying sober now, but he’s still in a fragile state. In addition to all of this, a couple of years ago, JJ shot and paralyzed Theo Carver (Kyler Pettis) paralyzed in a police shooting. JJ didn’t do anything wrong, but the guilt was so severe that he almost committed suicide.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – And that’s not all!

In addition, Lani Price (Sal Stowers) tried to pass off Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) baby as JJ’s. When he found out the child wasn’t his, he was once again in a very bad place. JJ has moments of happiness in Salem for sure, but it seems like it might be time for him to start over somewhere new, without so many memories to deal with. Right now, JJ is helping Lani expose Gabi Hernandez (Camilla Banus). This is hard on JJ because Gabi is the one who kept him from killing himself. But she’s gotten out of control. Once that threat is dealt with, JJ may just decide it’s time to leave for a while. Or perhaps he will go into some sort addiction program out of town to help him become stronger.
