Xander might be thick sometimes, but to do a complete 180 like that was strange. Then, there were the clues that were dropped during the proposal.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Xander gave Gwen a gift to apologize. Xander wanted to say he was sorry for searching for Sarah. Xander ended up giving Gwen a snowglobe. Even though Gwen said it was beautiful, the camera zoomed in closely on the snowglobe. So, that was a clue that something is important about that snowglobe. Soaps.com speculated that there could be a microphone hidden in it, which is something Xander would do.

Then, Xander proposed to Gwen but used Sarah’s engagement ring. Xander might be clueless sometimes, but even he would propose to Gwen with a different ring. It was clearly something to remind Gwen that Xander’s heart still belongs with Sarah. Xander also might have been trying to make Gwen feel guilty, but she still didn’t confess.
