On seeing the viral TikTok, Cameron Bure was upset, wanting to know what she had done to upset the 19-year-old. She finally got hold of her and found out what had happened.
Reaching out to JoJo Siwa
In an Instagram video, Cameron Bure, 46, spoke out about the TikTok video and addressed JoJo’s claim that she was the “rudest celebrity.” She said how shocked she was and that she had no idea where it came from.
The former Hallmark star said she tried to reach out to JoJo through mutual friends. However, eventually, her publicist contacted her manager. Candace then DMs Siwa because she had no idea what had happened. She said that finally, she called JoJo and was able to talk to her that morning.
Apparently, they had a great conversation, where JoJo said, “Hey, how you doin’” and Candace responded, “Well I’ve been better, what happened?”
Siwa explained to Cameron Bure that she didn’t think her video would go viral on TikTok. She described it as a “silly TikTok trend,” saying she didn’t think it was a big deal. However, Candace explained that to her, it was “a big deal,” and asked what she had done to her. The Fuller House alum recalled that they met at The Kelly Clarkson show, saying that went “really great.” Meanwhile, JoJo told her it was really great and that she was “super nice” and all of that.
Why Did JoJo Siwa Say Candace Cameron Bure Was Rude?
Cameron Bure said at first, JoJo didn’t want to tell her why she did it, as it was so silly. However, she also felt bad, and that it wasn’t a big deal to her. However, JoJo then told her that they met at the Fuller House premiere when she was 11 years old and they were on the red carpet. She had gone up to Candace, asking for a picture with her, but told JoJo, “Not right now.”

Apparently, Cameron Bure then carried on, having pictures taken with other celebrities on the red carpet. She then went on to profusely apologize to the Dancing With the Stars alum, who told her “You weren’t even mean!” She quoted Siwa as saying she gets it now, as an adult, that when you’re on the red carpet, everything’s happening at once. JoJo said you are being pulled in different directions, but reminded Candace that she was only 11 at the time.
Reportedly Cameron Bure told JoJo, “I kind of broke your 11-year-old heart, I didn’t take a picture with you!” adding, “I feel crummy. JoJo, I’m so sorry!”
JoJo told Candace that their encounter was “seriously not a big deal.” However, she responded, saying that as a mom, it breaks her heart that she made Siwa feel that way.
After telling her Instagram followers that “all good on the JoJo front,” Candace shared a valuable lesson that came out of the situation:
No matter how many followers you have, even a 10-second trending TikTok video can do damage because our words matter and our actions matter.
After all the drama, both actresses are fine and it turns out JoJo loves watching Full House every night to help her fall asleep. In fact, it is a comfort show for the 19-year-old and they “had all the feels and it was good, and there’s no drama.”
Sometimes people truly hurt each other on social media and the hurt goes viral. We should all take to heart the interaction between Cameron Bure and Siwa and be aware of what we post.
