Marc Blucas joins Candace Cameron Bure in A Christmas… Present

Candace Cameron Bure has good company in her first Christmas movie with Great American Family, A Christmas… Present. In fact, Marc Blucas (My Life With the Walter Boys, Good Morning Christmas! and Swagger) will co-star with the former Hallmark Channel favorite. In the movie, Candace plays Maggie while Marc plays Eric Larson.

Meanwhile, besides leading the movie, Cameron Bure will develop and produce the new movie, which premieres on November 22. In fact, the Full House alum will be starring in original content across the company’s portfolio of brands as per their agreement.

The movie’s plot involves Maggie taking her family on a trip to spend Christmas with her widowed brother and his daughter. At first, she and her brother don’t initially see eye to eye on how to celebrate the holidays together. However, a “series of transformative events” inspires Maggie to take a new look at what the holidays mean to her. Through this, she realizes there is more to celebrate when she actually stops long enough to do so.

Great American Christmas programming event

The new holiday movie forms part of Great American Christmas, the new network’s holiday programming franchise. Meanwhile, the programming event kicks off on October 21 with a full slate of original holiday movies, debuting each Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile, other Christmas movies are set to run each day and night through the end of 2022. It just doesn’t get more festive than that!

Moreover, A Christmas… Present is produced by Cameron Bure, Jeffery Brooks, Ford Engerth and Gerald Webb on behalf of Candy Rock Entertainment. Meanwhile, Eric Jarboe, Brad Krevoy, Amy Krell, Susie Belzberg Krevoy, and Jimmy Townsend are also executive producers. Brent Ryan Green is a producer, while Michael Shepard and Bradley M. Goodman are supervising producers. Moreover, the Great American Christmas movie is directed by Lesley Demetriades from a script by Rick Garman.

As noted by TV Insider, Cameron Bure previously had a deal with Hallmark Channel before signing an overall deal with Great American Family in April 2022. Meanwhile, Marc Blucas has starred in a couple of Hallmark Christmas movies, including Holiday for Heroes and Good Morning Christmas!
