Candace Cameron Bure in A Christmas … Present

After signing a deal with Great American Family in the spring, Candace Cameron Bure has been in the headlines regularly. The latest news is a Christmas movie starring the former Hallmark actress. The network, formerly known as GAC, has announced the new, holiday movie, cleverly titled A Christmas … Present.

Meanwhile, she won’t just be playing the lead in the new, original movie, as she will also executive produce under her Candy Rock Entertainment production banner. In the movie, Cameron Bure will play Maggie Lawson, a “Type-A mom” and real estate agent. Meanwhile, her work and personal schedules are so overloaded, that she probably needs a break with her family over the holidays.

The movie’s plot involves Maggie taking her family on a trip to spend Christmas with her widowed brother and his daughter. At first, she and her brother don’t initially see eye to eye on how to celebrate the holidays together. However, a “series of transformative events” inspires Maggie to take a new look at what the holidays mean to her. Through this, she realizes there is more to celebrate when she actually stops long enough to do so.

Meanwhile, Candace also offered her own description of the new Great American Family holiday movie, writing on Instagram:

A Christmas … Present is about slowing down enough to recognize what’s right in front of our eyes. The hustle and bustle of the Christmas season will arrive before we know it but it’s through the quiet moments that we hear God speak to us, directing our path to what’s most important.

When will the movie premiere on Great American Family?

So far, no official release date has been revealed for A Christmas … Present, but the network’s Great American Christmas programming event starts in October. People’s website theorizes that Candace Cameron Bure’s new movie will probably premiere in November.

Meanwhile, so far, no other cast members have been announced for the new Great American Christmas movie. As soon as we know more, we will let you know.
