General Hospital Comings and Goings: Carmine Cerullo Returns, George Russo Cast As Brook Lynn’s Grandpa

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Carmine Cerullo, formerly played by John Capodice, returns for Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) wedding to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Actor George Russo has been cast as Brook Lynn’s Bensonhurst grandpa.

General Hospital Spoilers – If Only They Could Have Recreated Lois Cerullo’s Big Wedding

If only they could have recreated Lois Cerullo’s (Rena Sofer) big wedding, but time constraints over Gregory Chase’s (Gregory Harrison) health force them to marry as soon as possible. Right now, it looks like May 15 for the airdate because that’s when Russo appears as Carmine.

Brook Lynn has a lot of Cerullo relatives besides her grandpa and grandma, Gloria Cerullo (Ellen Travolta) who viewers saw at Christmas-no word if she’ll return.

The rest of Brook Lynn’s family includes Lois’ siblings, Mark (Richard Tanner) Louie (Tony Mangano), Francine (uncast) & Chuck Cerullo (uncast).

Their children, Brook Lynn’s cousins, are Patrick (Jason Himber), Vincent (Drew Himber) and Angie Cerullo (uncast); Patrick and Vincent are twins; perhaps there’ll be a big shindig on the first anniversary.

GH Spoilers – Carmine Cerullo Last Seen In 1996

The last time Carmine was seen was in 1996, then played by John Capodice- when Lois was still a part of the Quartermaine clan, married to Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).

Carmine recurred between 1994 and 1996, keeping an eye on Lois with Gloria, seriously questioning their daughter’s relationship with a musician like Ned, whose music alter ego was Eddie Maine.

So, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) wasn’t the only parent having problems with Eddie when Ned and Lois were together.

General Hospital Spoilers – So Who Is George Russo?

While this will be the first time Russo has played in a soap opera, he’s appeared in movies and television shows, including The Offer, Winning Time, Grand Crew, and Shameless.

He played Paul Sciacci in The Offer, a TV mini-series, Nick in Winning Time, Walter Roselli in Shameless plus Frankie Five-Fingers in the TV series Marmaluke.

Now there’s a good gangster name-he’s played gangsters in a lot of movies and TV shows, although as Carmine, he won’t be a gangster, although he might fit in with them.

Brook Lynn will be wearing part of the wedding gown that Lois wore when she married Ned in 1995 in Bensonhurst, which was also Lila Quartermaine’s (Anna Lee) wedding gown.

Carmine, of course was at that wedding to give Lois away, although most likely Ned will be giving Brook Lynn away with Gregory Chase officiating and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) groomsman.
