General Hospital star Susan Brown will soon be honored with a special tribute that is being dedicated to the actress. Her television son, Kin Shriner, revealed that General Hospital is planning a special episode to celebrate the life and work of the actress, who starred on the soap from 1997 until the early 2000s. Susan was best known for her role as Dr. Gail Baldwin and last appeared on the show back in 2004.
Kin recently shared a behind-the-scenes look of a fun video of Gail surprising Scott as part of a birthday wish to the actor. There’s even speculation that Leslie Charleson, Genie Francis, and even Carly Schroeder are all expected to participate in the tribute.
In addition to her work on General Hospital, she was also best known for her roles on Murder, She Wrote in the mid-1980s and on the General Hospital spin-off Port Charles. She’s also starred in several television movies including To Face Her Past, Crime, and Punishment, Love Can Be Murder, Chance of A Lifetime, and Without Warning: The James Brady Story. If that weren’t enough, she also guest starred on Beverly Hills, 90210 back in 1991 and on the hit comedy Frasier in 1994.

It’s without a doubt that Susan was dearly loved and respected by all of her co-stars and is still missed today. Susan passed away late last summer after battling Alzheimer’s, which is a disease that the soap has in one of its current storylines with Sonny (Maurice Benard) and his father Mike (Max Gail).
