After a few years of hiatus, “Beacon Hill” is set to return for its second season and it will introduce a new character. Hillary B. Smith, known for her role as Margo Hughes on “As the World Turns” and Nora Hanen Buchanan on “General Hospital” and the now defunct “One Life to Live,” is joining the web series as Isabel Miller. Her character who used to be close to Claire Preston (Crystal Chappell) will head back to Boston with a secret agenda.
Production for “Beacon Hill’s” second season starts in September and once it starts to air, viewers may finally get the answers to their questions from the previous season, which was comprised of 12 episodes. What is the envelope about and who was at the door?
“Beacon Hill” premiered back in 2014. In its first season, the web series cast big wigs like Alicia Minshew, Sarah Joy Brown, and Crystal Chappell.
Hillary B. Smith recently returned to “General Hospital” as Attorney Nora Buchanan. She appeared in several episodes of the soap last April. Viewers may recall that Nora came to Port Charles in the past to help Valentin Cassadine (James Patric Stuart) with his custody battle with Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan).
Before she appeared on “General Hospital,” Smith debuted her character Nora on “One Life To Live” back in 1992. At first, she was only supposed to be a guest character. But as it turned out, she played the role until the show went off the air in 2013. After that, Nora first appeared on “General Hospital” in 2017 and the character has made several appearances on the show since then.
Smith made her debut in soap opera back in 1982. She played the role of Kit McCormick on “The Doctors.” A year after, she landed the role of Margo Hughes on “As The World Turns” from 1983 to1990. She took a maternity leave after she gave birth to her son in 1988 and when she returned she has been casted as Llanview District Attorney Nora Buchanan on “One Life To Live.”
