General Hospital POLL: What Was The Best GH Story of 2019?

What was the Best General Hospital Story of 2019? Several stories have come and gone and some are still going, which were among the best. What stories left us with a good feeling instead of dragged out Déjà vu?

General Hospital Spoilers – Shiloh Archer’s Death

General Hospital fans grew to literally hate Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). Shiloh portrayed himself to be a good guy but turned out to be a lethal enemy to some. Fans have hoped to have him put in jail to pay for his crimes or for Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to simply make this guy disappear.

Shiloh’s taunting of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) became monotonous. As much as we wanted Shiloh dead, we did not want Sam or anyone else in prison over the guy. Sam is not necessarily the person we wanted to take Shiloh out. However, Shiloh is gone and the fallout keeps coming. Although we wanted him gone, Shiloh’s death, under the circumstances, doesn’t make the cut for the best story.

GH Spoilers – Oscar Quartermaine’s Death

General Hospital’s Oscar Nero Quartermaine (Garren Stitt) had a brain tumor and passed away this May. Oscar’s death was drawn out and received a lot of attention. Jocelyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was by his side the whole time. The fact that Jocelyn fell asleep and missed Oscar’s passing was a disappointment. The aftermath of his death hasn’t been the greatest either.

Oscar’s willing ELQ stock to Shiloh was just too much for anyone to understand. The fact that Oscar later changed his mind should supersede anything willed to Shiloh but now we have a possible wife, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) of all people wanting that stock that should never be out of family control. The mere fact of a sixteen-year-old kid having a will is just too much. This followed by Drew Cain (Billy Miller) finding money hidden in Oscar’s car certainly knocked this far out story out as the story of the year.

General Hospital Spoilers – Baby Donna Corinthos

General Hospital’s Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) miracle baby certainly gave Sonny and Carly fans hope for their future. Seeing Sonny and Carly struggle to make sure their daughter survived, especially once her birth defect was detected was amazing. Sonny standing by Carly, watching over her and encouraging her was so inspiring.

Sonny and Carly and their closeness during Carly’s pregnancy were great. Sonny patiently waiting for Donna Corinthos (Emma and Ella Hulen) to get out of surgery and give her mother the good news was heartwarming. Baby Donna was the Best GH Story of 2019 hands down. Hopefully, next year will bring us more inspiring and fewer manipulation stories. Here’s to a little more love and happiness in our afternoons.
