General Hospital Spoilers tease Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) has moved on from the heartbreak he faced when Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) made it clear over the holidays that they were done. With no hope for a future in that direction, Austin found himself spending even more time at the hospital, until recently. He’s open to finding love again, but he is also worried that his family drama will bleed over into any relationship he attempts to have.

His cousin, Mason (Nathanyael Grey), did recently threaten Maxie’s daughter, Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher), after all. Now it seems Mason has moved on to targeting Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) just because she called him out. Is it really safe for Austin to jump into bed with anyone? Maybe not, but he’s going to anyway.

Austin seems to be a man about town when he feels like it. He has no trouble cozying up to new people, and interestingly, those new people always seem to be women. Although he came to town with the Quartermaine family on his mind, they are mostly in his rear view now. Whether he’s bumping into a colleague who needs saving like Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) did, or he’s helping a mom in labor in the middle of the woods like he did for Maxie, Austin has no trouble worming his way into a woman’s heart and mind – especially if she’s already down on her luck, as Maxie and Britt have shown us.

Who could be trapped in a bigger well of grief than Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattson)? Rumor has it these two might run into each other soon and spark more than just conversation.

Hopefully Austin isn’t so busy filling up his dance card for the Nurses’ Ball that he forgets to swing the nurses’ station to chat up GH’s top nurse, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). Fans are dying to see Roger and Rebecca back in action. They miss the chemistry this pair shared when Roger was still playing the role of Elizabeth’s husband, Franco Baldwin. Their on-screen magic infused our homes with the kind of unconditional love we haven’t seen in years on GH. Will GH production bring it back via Austin and Liz? She certainly could use the help of a white knight right now — and Austin just loves to be one.

Ava might be the best match in town for a guy like Austin. We already know from her dalliance with Dr. Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) that Ava is favorable to men in white coats. She also helped Austin recently when he was in a tight spot with Mason. Austin didn’t ask for the favor, but that doesn’t mean he won’t feel obligated to repay her for it when he stumbled upon Ava in her own sticky set of circumstances.
