General Hospital Spoilers: Brando Believes Dev Is His Son, Tries To Take Custody?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that what started out as a simple lie to keep Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) in the United States could quickly turn much more complicated. As viewers know, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) originally met Dev in Turkey, and because Dev provided life saving assistance and information, Sonny felt indebted to help the young man.

GH Spoilers – When Dev Cerci Came To The US

When Dev showed up in Port Charles, he needed assistance. So Sonny had papers created that said Dev was the grandson of Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs). Gladys stated that her son Brando Corbin (Johnny Waycross) was dead, although it was recently discovered this was a lie. So according to all the paperwork, Dev is Brando’s son.

Surprise!

To Sonny’s surprise, Brando recently showed up alive and well. He went looking for his mother and ended up saving Carly’s life during Cyrus Renault’s attack on the coffee warehouse. Brando got himself shot for his troubles. Furious with Gladys for lying, Sonny ordered her to lie to her son and tell him that Dev is truly his son. Assuming Dev believes his mother, will he attempt to get to know Dev, or even try to get custody? How will Dev feel about lying to Brando about being his son? The teenager has already had to tell lie after lie, so this will make the situation even more complicated for the teen.

Complications!

This could lead to some serious complications for Sonny and Dev both. Perhaps they should tell Brando the truth, and hope that Brando goes along with the scheme. He’s already saved Carly’s life, so perhaps Brando is a good guy. It’s not clear yet what caused the rift between Brando and Gladys in the first place.

Gladys indicated it was because Brando was bad news at the time but it’s totally possible that it was Gladys who was doing things that Brando walked away from. Perhaps she was even involved with Cyrus. Bonnie seemed to have inside knowledge of Cyrus’ attacks, and even helped get Sonny out of town during the attacks.
