General Hospital Spoilers – Cody Bell’s Guilt Is Eating Away At Him

Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) made a split-second decision when he decided to tell Mac Scorpio (John J. York) that the DNA tests said they weren’t father and son when they really were. He thought that he could just forget about Mac and get his hands on that necklace worth millions but it was not meant to be. Instead, he is fixing poker games for Selina Wu (Lydia Look) and working in the Q stables.

After sharing some beers with Mac and learning more about him, Mac finds that paper with the test results and almost reads it but then Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) walks in and interrupts them. Mac leaves none the wiser to the fact that he really does have a biological son and Cody’s guilt is at an all-time high.

When Dante and Cody get to talking, Dante can tell that something is eating away at his childhood friend, and wants to know what is going on. That’s when Cody decides to set things straight with Dante.

“[Telling Dante] is really hard and really scary for him and he actually gets kind of emotional about it because he feels a lot of shame,” Josh Kelly said in the March 20, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest.

Of course, Dante wants Cody to tell Mac the truth right away, acting as a sort of moral compass for Cody, but will it work? Probably not, considering that Dante is harboring a secret from their teenage years that he hasn’t ever told anyone, but Cody knows what it is. And Cody has some thoughts.

“He’s kind of like, ‘You’re saying I have to tell the complete truth, otherwise I’ll never be free, but you and I aren’t telling the complete truth about our secret. So, how’s it feeling up on your high horse there, Dante?'”

Sounds like Cody is going to be making a lot of excuses, but he worries that Dante will tell Mac the truth before he even gets a chance. Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see how these stories play out.
