Maybe her daughter just can’t bear the thought of any harm coming to her and wants to keep her within reach for a bit until Sonny is able to handle this situation.

Now, it appears on the surface that he’s super into Ava, but what he might actually be into is duping her to get close to the real target: Sonny.
