Rumor has it Dex is back to avenge his father — Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) — who never knew about him and would have wanted to know him. No one could tell him that better than Sonny, but Dex has been too angry to see past his own emotions. More recently, though, he’s starting to see Sonny for who he really is, and it just might pix his plans entirely. Has Dex managed to see in Sonny what Jason always did — a mobster with a heart of gold? Will his relationship with Joss be able to withstand his dishonesty?

Dex has been helping Michael take down Sonny like a pro. As this storyline ramps up, it’s hard not to notice that Dex seems to be more invested in this cause than Michael himself. We all know he has a thing for the organized crime world, but why is he so intent on taking down Sonny? As it turns out, Dex is a Morgan, which is a Quartermaine, which is Sonny’s brother from another mother. Got it? Dex can’t obliterate Sonny’s business now that he knows him like he does.

Jason may have got swept up in young love with Karen Wexler (Marie Wilson), and her hiatus from Port Charles could have produced a baby boy whom she gave up for adoption. Enter, Dex. If he is the long-lost son of Jason and Karen, everyone is likely to welcome him with open arms. Fans keep wondering how Dex is going to survive this takedown when it all blows up like we know it will.

General Hospital Spoilers — Joss Jacks Will Forgive Him, But That Doesn’t Mean They Stay Together

Alright, so Dex is in this for the long haul, and that makes sense because the fans love him and they want more of Dex and Joss. That might be a problem, though. Joss isn’t likely to hold it against Dex that he had his own motives when he first met her and couldn’t risk revealing his plan when he knew she would feel torn between him and her loyalty to her own brother. Furthermore, Joss loved Jason, but what will seal their fate as a couple is learning that Sonny has grown on Dex and he doesn’t really want to ditch the mob life.
