As viewers know, Brook Lynn was brutally attacked by Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) when Brook Lynn overheard Nelle plotting to kidnap Wiley Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olsen). In order to keep Brook Lynn from thwarting her plan, Nelle brutally slashed the singer’s throat.

Brook Lynn lost of blood before Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) and Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) found her and called for help. Brook Lynn was still clinging to life but needed surgery. The doctors did all they could but it still looks like Brook Lynn may never be able to sing again. This would be a huge blow to Brook Lynn as her whole identity has revolved around her singing career. It finally seemed like she was about to get her big break when that attack occurred. What’s worse is that Brook Lynn and her father Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) had a huge falling out and are still on the out. Brook Lynn may feel she has no one to turn to.
