General Hospital (GH) spoilers promise some shocking twists and turns in the land of Port Charles. Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda Barrett) recently hinted during a live chat hosted by Coastal Entertainment and transcribed by SoapHub that she will eventually make a GH comeback. Should fans brace themselves for an unexpected character return?
General Hospital Spoilers – Things Are Going Well For Sonny Corinthos & Nina Reeves, Could Brenda Barrett Spoil All That?
During the live chat with fans, Marcil suggested that there’s “no way” a Brenda Barrett comeback won’t happen. While nothing has been officially released about Vanessa returning to GH, it’s hard for fans not to speculate.
After all, while both Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) lives are in chaos, their romance is hotter than ever. They are a solidified super couple in Port Chuckles and have almost bonded that much more because everyone is against them. Every couple goes through their fair share of issues, and as things are running smoothly in terms of their relationship, could a returning Brenda throw a wrench in the Sina romance?
GH Spoilers – Brenda Barrett Returns To Reunite With Sonny Corinthos
The last time GH fans saw Brenda in Port Chuckles was in 2013. She not only returned for the Nurse’s Ball that year but also to clear the air with Sonny. Her goal was to reunite with him, but alas, timing has always been the couple’s ultimate obstacle. Plus, in more recent years, Carly Corinthos’s (Laura Wright) jealousy of the two and their bond has caused problems. Carly is now focused on Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and seemingly over the mob boss.
If Brenda comes back, her battle would be with Nina. But could the Sina relationship stand up to the love, chemistry, and history that Sonny has with Brenda? Ms. Barrett is, and will always be, the “one that got away” for Corinthos. There’s no point in even comparing the two women and what they share with Sonny, respectively. Brenda returning to town would be a game-changer for Sonny and Nina.

And yes even though she’s technically with Drew NIW Carpet will be somewhat jealous of Brenda but I don’t think it will be anything major..haha! If she can deal with woe is me whiny needy Nina she can handle it with Brenda and she may even enjoy seeing Brenda swoop in on what Nina thinks is her’s Sonny if course!

If she would return only to shake up Nina and Sonny’s relationship, I see no reason for her to return. Is she the mother of Dex? Please DO Not Put Sonny And Carly Back together. Too much damage has been done.
Best chemistry any couple ever had on a soap. Bring her back & give them a real story line, not like that silly fluf with her last come back. Make it real. They sizzle together. Besides, isn’t Dex her son?
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back Brenda to shove Nina out of Port Charles. Brenda is smart and beautiful where Nine and her bug eyes is ugly and self centered. All she thinks about is herself and she could never hold a candle to Carly and Brenda will be a shutdown!!! Sonny and Nina were never a math and all the GH fans told you all this from the beginning. Nina and Victor would make a wonderful couple. They are just alike

I have been watching GH for 40+ years. With the exception of Luke and Laura (who for me NO ONE will ever surpass!), Sonny and Brenda are my favorite all-time GH couple. Part of the reason for that belongs to Vanessa Marcil because she shines in every role she’s ever done and I am fairly certain I’ve seen everything she has been in. Sonny and Brenda had a certain chemistry that Sonny hasn’t had with anyone else, not even Carly.
Would love, love, LOVE to see Brenda Barrett back in Port Charles – Nina thinks CARLY is a threat???? She ain’t seen NOTHIN’ yet!
